Anna Marie's Statement

Hello, my name is Anna Marie Morales, and I’m proud to run for re-election as a delegate for the California Democratic Party with the North Star Progressive Democrats, a slate of grassroots leaders and organizers. As a lifelong resident of Mountain View for over 40 years, I bring a deep connection to our community and a proven track record of advocating for the issues that matter most to us.

Since 2015, I’ve served as a steering committee member of the Mountain View Mobile Home Alliance (MVMHA), working tirelessly to protect the rights and security of our mobile home community. In September 2021, our collective efforts led to a historic victory when the City of Mountain View passed a groundbreaking rent stabilization ordinance. This critical measure helps shield vulnerable mobile home residents from devastating rent increases, ensuring they can stay in their homes. But the work isn’t finished—we are continuing the fight to secure necessary amendments to strengthen these protections and prevent further displacement.

Beyond housing, I’m passionate about addressing racial justice, affordable housing, and access to mental health care—issues essential to the well-being of our neighbors. Our community needs leaders who will stand firm for these values and deliver results that uplift everyone.  

I supported Senator Wahab’s bill, SB 403, to ban caste discrimination in California because I believe in standing up for justice and equality. I also oppose the U.S. sending billions of dollars in unrestricted weapons to Israel—funds that have been used in ways that harm civilians and violate both domestic and international laws. If these issues matter to you, I encourage you to look into the records of the candidates and ask questions. 

My lifelong dedication to advocacy, combined with my experience as a community organizer, makes me uniquely qualified to represent our district. As your delegate, I will champion the needs and values of our community both locally and statewide.
