   We advocate for living wages, strong union protections, and policies that empower workers to negotiate fair pay and safe working conditions.

   We believe in a tax system that ensures corporations and the wealthiest individuals contribute their fair share to support public goods and reduce economic inequality.

3. Reinvestment in Communities
   We support using public funds to invest in education, healthcare, affordable housing, and infrastructure, ensuring resources are directed to programs that uplift communities.

4. Corporate Accountability
   We stand against unchecked corporate greed and advocate for policies that limit the influence of big money in politics, promote ethical business practices, and hold corporations accountable for their impact on workers and the environment.

5. Closing the Opportunity Gap
   We work to address systemic barriers that prevent marginalized communities from accessing education, employment, and financial stability, ensuring everyone has the tools to succeed.

   We believe in creating opportunities for small businesses, especially those in underserved communities, to grow and thrive by providing access to funding, resources, and fair competition.

Our Record of Advocacy

The North Star Progressive Democrats have actively championed economic justice through:

• Leading initiatives to raise the minimum wage, including securing one of the highest local wage standards in the country.

• Supporting resolutions to increase corporate accountability and reduce the influence of corporate money in politics.

• Advocating for progressive tax measures, such as business taxes that reinvest in housing and public resources.

• Working with unions and labor organizations to protect workers’ rights and ensure fair treatment.
